I was thinking today, as we are emerging from (or, hopefully emerging from) one of the most bizarre and unusual times in history. A year ago, I was traveling like a crazy person. Carefree, without thought. Today, I am not sure when I will be able to pack my suitcase again. I am not sure how I feel about things. Each day, I simply try to be present. Try to be, “in the moment.”
I think back over the last several months, over the last year even, and I am in awe of all the things that have happened. New house, new job, was hit by a car….thanks again, Karen; finished my MBA, traveled abroad, kid engaged, kid moved back home, daughter diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder, another graduated from college, and so on. Oh, and I got a puppy somewhere in the midst of all that chaos. Miss Stella is pretty awesome. She brings a smile to my face every single day.
As I pause to reflect on so many of these things…I stop to remember that no matter what is going on, the only thing that does not stop, is time. I am thankful for the good times, and even for those times that were not so good. I take time today, to appreciate the experiences, opportunities, as well as people that I have met along the way. Each one has shaped the woman that I am today.
